Excellent observation. They are simply testing the market to see what it will bear. Then each time it jumps way up, we whine a little bit then it slips down to half the difference and we are happy, net results is they raised the price and we are happy about it.

I'm amazed that people think that $3.49 for a gallon of gas is a bargain... When I grow I want to be an oil speculator and laugh all the way to the bank when people say $3.49 is an acceptable price for a GALLON OF GAS!!!!

In TX, most of the Walmarts have Murphy Oil supply them. If I remember correctly, they are a top tier supplier.

Just remember that 4 years ago gas was around $1.50 and the only thing that's changed is that the quality has gone WAY DOWN!!

There is no gas here in the Asheville area. If a station gets a delivery, traffic backs up for a quarter mile 'till it's gone. Tell me there's not something funny going on..........

I never said $3.49 is cheap or acceptable, but it's better than paying almost $4.00/gal. And I do realize that our own government is SCREWING us on gas and oil prices.

Here in north NJ you can find premium under $3.60 if you look around.....and we're happy about it! Well, be happy, it could be $9.00 a gallon like in Europe. When I was a kid my father owned a Shell gas station. Because he was a drag racer, his place was the hang out for all the hot cars and bikes. He was the highest volume selling dealer in the area and also the most expensive. Premium was .42 a gallon.
