what's your definition of major work? In hindsight, I would have done the rear gears first (I went 3.90's) - it makes a huge difference. A good tune would also be a nice kick for very low $$ relatively speaking.

If you are on a tight budget go with Vararam intake and Zo6Ti's. I ran 12.5@112 with those two mods.

If you still need a bit more umpf go with Longtubes and gears. After I installed my longtubes I dynoed 342rwhp 350rwtq. Haven't been back to the track so don't have any 1/4 numbers yet.

If you really want to go crazy, you can look into heads/cam, supercharger, or turbo.

Just remember, once you start modding your will never stop modding

I'm pretty sure you can't modify a C5 engine. Others will chime in and back me up..

I wonder if what he means is that you can't change pistons, etc. I'm sure that's not true either, but then again, what do I know?

I did both, plus 3.90 gears for the 6spd. I also did the heads, cam, fast intake and make 450 HP at the tires

I just cut out a portion of the floor, and "Flinstone it." Much more gas efficient, and quite quick!

A good cold air intake, some LT headers, rear gears and a tune.

For the first I'd do a Cold Air Intake!

Then Long Tube Headers and a Dyno Tune which will yield some of the best RWHP!

After that it should be straight to Forced Induction and on a stock set-up with the above mentioned it will yield around 500+ RWHP and a whole heck of a lot of safe fun

Thanks,Matt
