I finished washing my 2003 Z. I pulled it in the garage to wipe it down. When I stopped it I heard something drop near the rear. I walked around to the back and this was lying just under the driver's side rear of the car. What is it? Where does it go?

If both sides have fell out, then you most likely have also lost both of the flux capacitors that are mounted directly above.
Do not try to pass any Mustangs until replacement of above said flux capacitors as your car is no longer capable of hyper drive.
