[Z06] Seat Problem

Seat Problem
Whenever I firmly brake, the seat slides forward on its tracks about a half-inch. Today I removed the seat and the track moves about a half-inch easily. I couldn't figure out why it is doing this? What stops the seat in the tracks? Should I remove the tracks and if so, how? What am I looking for? Thanks. By the way, it's an '02 Z06.

They dont. I made them fit 
and it wasn't easy (2 different seat mounts + welding and grinding. Yes I'm serious). The seat is out of a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo. They are a very tight fit. I'm going to have them narrowed when I get them reupholstered.
