C6 shift knob - Need boot

C6 shift **** - Need boot
Just installed a C6 shift **** on my B&M and it looks great. Only problem is the stock C5 shift boot doesn't fit with it. I had to cut it a little to get it to fit.
I don't think a c6 shift boot will work in a C5. Anyone know for sure?
Also, those that have done this, what did you do?

Fliip it inside out, trim enough to get the base through, ZipTie it to the base, pull it back through

Fliip it inside out, trim enough to get the base through, ZipTie it to the base, pull it back through

That worked for me.........only I used small gauged stainless wire. I was able to twist it tighter than a zip tie. Works great
