Have a 2002 coupe. Got the slim HID conversion kit for the low beam lights.
I plugged in the bulb, connected the bulb to the ballast and the ballast to the old plug that went into the old bulb. Switched on the lights and nada. I double checked and the fuse was fine. I plugged in the older bulb and it came on fine.
What am I missing?
BTW - They sent some extra wires also, seemed like a plug with open wires and a empty connecter type plug. The instructions did not call for using them... so no clue if thats needed.
I just did mine. (fog)
The two wires are plugged into the connector, where the old bulb came out. Then use tape to cover & secure.
The picture shows in circled area two wires that get plugged into connector where old bulb came from. The other connector plugs into the box as in pic. Why the company didn't plug it into itself....go figure.

i have the kit you pictured.
Polarrity on the red wire may be your issue. To test this reverse the way the ndry pack connectors go together.... ie... the locking tab is on the wrong side.
Try that. if it works either remove the wires from the connector or leave connecotr reversed and just wrap it with electricians tape to keep it together

OK - It was the polarity. I used the spare wire stuff they had and the light came right on. The fittings are actually pretty darn good and work perfect. I just wish they had written something that - "In case the light does not come on, could be your polarity and so use the extra wires to flip them!"
I'll also remove the 10A fuses and put in 20A fuses.
Thanks everyone, I LOVE this forum and its super helpful members.
I'm gonna start another post with the mounting question with pics. Hopefully i get an answer quick and i can wrap this install!

The black connector on the harness in Pic 2 gets plugged in to the single empty socket on top in pic 1.
The bare spade ends on Pic 2 get attached to the loose conector in Pic 4. They leave the spades loose due to differing wire orientations on different vehicles which caused polarity issues. So they let you orient the wires in the plug to assure proper positive/negative matchup.
Once the connector is assembled properly, plug it to the connector that used to go to your factory head light bulb.
The 2 individual connectors on Pic 1 plug in to the 2 individual connectors on the bulb in Pic 3.
Yep, thats how I finally did it. The light is awesome! (6000k)
I did notice the headlights not retracting a few times when I parked it in the garage. It's a little wierd since it seems to retract fine when I tested it a few times while driving. I'm off to a 4 day training tomorrow. Will test it more once i get back.

Stop by the auto parts store, get 2 small #194 bulbs and sockets, and those blue wire taps. Wire them in line with your STOCK wires. This will give the extra current load your computer needs to close, or open, the lights. The HIDS are so low current that the computer thinks a bulb is out, and won't lower your lights.
Simple fix.
You need to hurry up and finish the install so i can see my lights again.
It's been done for like two weeks now. I told you I'm just a lazy camera person guy. I still need to do some minor alignments to the headlight doors but I'll do all that when I do the foglights and clear corners. It's "done" for now...
