Does anyone use a pair of dedicated driving shoes when they drive?
i'll admit i've driven in sandals before and its not the easiest thing but usually just use my adidas superstars. i've also been told that adidas makes a very good driving shoe, does anyone have any recommendation or knowledge to share? are they worth it?
i rock my puma drift cats. becouse i own an import, and everything with the word "drift" gives me a chubber. seriously i recommend driving shoes. when i switch to regular shoes i keep hitting extra pedals on accident
One thing for sure, never try to drive a high horse power MN6 car with flip flops on.
Piloti driving shoes are very popular. Here is a link to a supporting vendor offering free shipping.
I agree to a point. I have one pair of the Piloti and am interested in the white tennis shoe version from Piloti too. However, living in FL I drive a lot with flip-flops. I have two different pair and prefer the thinner pair over the thicker Reefs. Matter of fact we can wear flip-flops to the office as many do, and am totally comfortable since I was 15 to driving with flip-flops. Now bare foot on the metal pedals is another issue!

Actually, I drive with flip flops regularly when cruising as it gets pretty hot here. It is tough driving aggressive with them on as my car is modded and has 432 rwhp. They tend to get in the way.
You'll laugh...I feel most comfortable in my JUSTIN or DAN POST boots when driving my car. Size 12s are really easy to heel/toe.
I recently bought a pair of SKECHERS leather shoes on sale ($50) and they're not bad, either.
Buying dedicated driving shoes seemed a little extreme in these economic times...
I've got a set of shoes left over from my karting day's..they work really well....
Generally If Im wearing flip flops..I just kick them off and go "Camando" on the pedels....nothing more scary than getting a flip flop stuck in the pedals in a "serious" moment

Track, track shoes and for the street, street shoes...or bare feet. You can buy dedicated racing shoes with a thin sole, or olymic style wrestling shoes work about the same.
I haven't tried my cowboy boots yet, but then it's too hot and humid here right now for that. Maybe mid winter for the boots.
Cosmo, too funny, mine's just a regular ole' Corvette not a big horsepower monster!
I've never had a flip-flop get stuck or anything close. Now I have a few pair of tennis shoes that I never wear while driving especially if it is wet out. I've slipped off the clutch pedal a few times with certain types of shoe bottoms. Same with my Florsheim dress shoes with fancy leather bottoms they have a tendency to slip off the clutch pedal too.
