whats the typical protocol for a dyno-tune?

Do they just flash the computer, install a chip, or import the setting via a hand-held tuner? thx for any info

It's just a re-flash of your ecm. No chips. Hand-held tuners also re-flash.. just not as many options with those. Some better than others, but still less than a dyno tune.

There is no chip... this isn't a Mustang. A tuner will use a computer and edit that way. You can also buy DIY handhelds, but I think the consensus is to spend the extra $ and go to an experienced tuner.
