I've absolutely blasted my front spoiler a few times and never had a problem... seems like a waste of money to me. Have you actually had a problem before?
The original air dams are on my 99 vert and they are beginning to fray and one is cracked along the bottom. I ordered replacements from Gene Culley here, and I saw these brackets and wondered if they might be a good addition, since I'm ripping off the old ones anyway....
If you side spoilers are sagging, these WILL help. They don't look like much, but they work to close the gap between the sagging side and the front fascia. I have installed them on my car, so I'm not just hip shooting here. Just my .02.
I am not a rich guy so dont take this the wrong way, but they are under 20 dollars. If you buy them and dont like them for whatever reason, you can throw them away without too much worry.
I have them and i think they work best for backing out of driveways. For some reason Both vettes in the family scrape backing out, but not going in. I also replaced the standard 10mm bolts with zonc coated ones and large washers.
Installed the left side and felt stupid so never installed the right side. Both side still look the same to me. Perhaps they work as well as that tube that diverts coolant from the throttle body

But it does !!!! Actually it serves a truely awesome purpose of not leaking collant all over the place when you want to remove the intake manifold.

I only remembered the head size went from 10mm to 11mm with the new bolts

I've been eyeing them for just that purpose. After almost 7 years, my baby's sagging a little. Don't really need new pieces, just a little lift!
