My 2002 Z06 is too tame with the stock TI's and Magnaflow X-Pipe that I installed a year ago to get rid of the H-Pipe jingles. The X-Pipe smoother out the exhaust a bit too much for my taste- no bark.
I am leaning towards: 1) B&B Bullets 2) Borla Stingers 3) GHL Magnums. Believe all these are somewhat similar - and listed loudest to less loudest.
Question- anyone know whether the Corsa Indy Pace exhaust would be any loudedr than my stock Ti exhaust with the X-Pipes??
Really want an aggressive idle and 60's musclecar wide open sound.
I just installed Borla off-road straight pipes and I have to tell you I'm in love. It sounds like a 70 LS6 the overall volume is up at idle and when you stomp down it is nasty. I been getting thumbs up and even a few faces.Best part their only 379.00 dollars from corvette garage so if you hate it, you didn't spend a fortune on it.
All of the exhaust systems you mentioned will be louder than the stock Ti's but for 60's muscle car rumble - B&B Bullets or Borla stingers.......nuff said
Go with the bullets if you like boat sounds otherwise throw some longtubes and slp loudmouths and you will have loud These slp (new style ) are the loudest catback and yes i love mine
I didn't like that the fact stock Mustangs sounded so much better then my Z w/ LG long tubes x pipe, no cats w/ stock ti's. Swiched the ti's to BBBullits, now were talking tha talk. Try the different sound clips found on the forum, that's how I made my decission. I kept my ti's in case I ever wante'd to go back. Good luck.

GHL, byfar the best sounding exhaust with the lowest amount of drone you can get. I just have the axle back and they are loud enough to turn heads if I get on it, but still roadworthy with the windows up and the tunes on.

Thanks
I had the very same set up as you and I too decided the x pipe made the car to quiet. I bought the Indys and it was the perfect sound. Shortly after, I decided to add LG Pro long tube headers. Now it is really loud (Nascar Loud) on hard acceleration. But I have a nice exotic sound going thru the gears. Overall I liked the Indys. Big plus is no drone.
Consider adding electric exhaust cut-outs (QTP a site sponser makes great cut-outs). With the cut-outs you can go from stock sound level to fully wide open exhaust (and anywhere in between) by simply holding the button and opening/closing the cut-out. I have them on my '04 Z06 and love them. When you need to drive a distance just leaving them closed and no droning on the highway. Exit the highway and open them up to the level you want and cruise to where-ever you're headed with as much rumble as you like.
