Because I never to stay satisfied with a car for more than about 5 minutes I'm tossing around the idea of changing up my wheels. I have polished 505As on it right now. I absolutely LOVE the way these wheels look, but I drive my car almost 20,000 miles a year and as you can imagine they are impossible to keep looking as good as I would like. I saw the wheels in the second pic (hope the owner doesn't mind if I steal a pic) and like them on black. Has anybody done something similar on red or with a 505A wheel? I don't like solid black just because it runs in with the tire so the pinstripe is a nice touch. I'm open to looking at different options such as painted center/polished lip etc. Let's see what you've got!!!

Very cool idea. Different can be very cool if done right.
I'm actually tossing around the thought of what my SP500's would look like with "machined" center section and spokes, and maintain the polished lip. On my Silver Z06 it might work. I will keep them as they are for a few more years though. Only when I feel like a change will I consider getting it done. Maybe when I need a new set of tires...

I do like the looks of the black wheels in the second pic. Another option to consider is to just get the 505's chromed - easy maintenance and great looks.
I was thinking of doing the same thing with my 505's but with an EB pin stripe of course. I just hate the thought of changing them back to polished if I ever wanted to.
