I think my last flat on ANY vehicle I have owned was 45 years ago. My car didn't have RF's when I bought it. I did make up a tire patch kit though. I worked in construction for many years driving on building sites with all sorts of debris. Even then my company truck only had one flat in eleven years.
Was thinking of switching but wife called today and she has a huge screw in her tire (96 Maxima) and it is flat as a pancake ! Just not sure.......yet.

Ditched my runflats within a month of buying my Vette, went with Falken 452's, went cross country with them a year ago this month, no problems at all. But I do carry a flat repair kit.
I dumped the run flats at 15,000 miles. I now have over 120,000 miles on my DD. Best single thing I did on this car. I do carry a small compressor, tire patch kit, small jack, and a can of tire sealer just in case.
I put Michelin Sport Pilots on my car over a year ago. The ride is amazing. This turned a really rough ride into a simple joy to be in. These tires are great. They are expensive, but you know what they say? You get what you pay for.
I ditched mine for Pirelli P-zero's a couple months ago and I couldn't be happier. It's like having a brand new car!! "You mean it isn't normal to have your teeth rattle when you drive this car......??"
I still have my runflats, and even though the ride is a little rough, never driven in a vette with regular tires, i rather have the runflats for security purposes, plus they are not that bad, just my opinion

I switched from the OEM runflats to a set of Goodyear F1 Supercars - made a huge difference. Then went with a set of Michelin Pilot Sport IIs and finally back to a set of Firestone Firehawk runflats.
If you switch to non-runflats, just be prepared in case you do have a flat - plug kit, compressor, small jack, cell phone, etc.
Switched over to PS2's this spring, what a difference. Not cheap and there are less expensive quality alternatives, but so much quieter, tighter and more secure handling, and huge overall ride improvement. Now when the wife & I are out when we hit bumps etc. one of us always says "remember what that would have felt like with the runflats?" Carry a pump, patch kit, some goo if really necessary and have AAA.
Went to Michelin Pilot Sport AS all season ZP zero pressure runflats. World of difference from the stock Goodyears. Much nicer ride and stich much better. Only downside lost about two MPG. Quite a bit cheaper than the Goodyear too!
I just replaced my tires with BFGoodrich G-Force A/S tires (my vette is a daily driver!). The car is entirely different. It handles better...even though I went with all season tires, quieter, more responsive and the ride quality is far superior.
Another consideration is price. The BFGoodrich tires were about $630 for four. A new set of Goodyear EMT's were $1400 from tirerack.com!
That's $770 less. Let's put that into perspective. The labor to replace my convertible top was only $600!
I think you should have asked if anyone went from regular tires back to run flats! I'm willing to bet that very few people have!

I also went with these (mine are the Plus version) and I couldn't be happier. Also lost about 2 MPG over the OEMs.

My OEM Goodyears are almost done at 33K and I keep going back and forth. The loss of gas mileage seems to be a pattern with the non runflats and that bothers me. But hey I can buy a lot of gas for the cost savings over the runflats I guess. I'm seriously thinking about the new Michelin PS2 ZP (the new ZR1 tire) for mine. But holy hell they are spendy.

You guys are losing MPG by getting rid of the runflats? Explain that.
