C5 MGW Shifter
I just received a new MGW shifter for my wife's 02. They sent the offset shaft like they show on the website for C6's. Does anyone know if this will work(will there be any interference with the console). I had bought one a couple months ago for my 03 and it came with the straight shaft. Was wondering if anyone had used this offset shaft on a C5.

Should work, I got the straight. They normally send the one you specify when you order it. You might have clicked the wrong box or they just sent the wrong one. I think the offset will ok though.

There are two different shaft types for each config depending on whether you have a C5 9/16-18 threaded **** or a slip-on C6 ****. Which did you receive? Either works on the C5 - just depends on your preference and ****. I'm using the straight 9/16 -18 with a modified C6 ****.

Thanks for the info. I'll finish putting it on this morning. I ordered mine over the phone and told them that its for a 2002 model and that I wanted the 15% shifter. Told them that I would be reusing the factory **** and to send me the same setup that I had on the my 03 that I had bought a couple months before. My 03 has the straight shaft.
