Corvette Centennial Design Concept

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Did someone forget to tell these guys that Corvette should have curves, not angles? This one has both curves and angles...awful.
I see they are trying to cash in on the whole "retro" look, by taking the back glass from '63 and ripping off the C3. I used to own a C3, nice looking car...MUCH nicer looking than this thing.
A Corvette is not a Mustang, Camaro, VW Bug or PT Cruiser. A Corvette should look and feel like you're driving something that belongs 20 years in the future, not 30 years in the past.
I don't want to feel like I'm driving yesterdays model. Corvette styling should always be modern and exotic, never a throw back to past cars. Sure, you can take some small things from past generations, like the four tail lights for instance. After all the DNA needs to stay the same.
I was coming out of my '00 the other day and someone stopped me to compliment me on my brand new Corvette. That's a great feeling. The overwhelming number of people I meet think the styling of the C5 is still modern. Two months ago my mechanic told me it reminded him of the "stealth bomber".
The smiling grill reminds me of a new Camaro. That's a very bad thing. Corvette styling should never share anything with a Camaro, and a Camaro should have nothing in common with a Corvette. They are two different type of performance cars.
The Corvette should NEVER be given a "corporate" look or something that reminds me of anything else Chevy builds...it's the flag ship car, it needs to stand out. It's bad enough that the rear lights of a Cobalt look a bit like the Corvette.

If you don't like it, that's one thing . . . But take another look at the C6, compared to the C5, the C6 is "ALL" angles.
