I'd be interested in this too, but only because the paint on the lower lip of the wheelwells is peeling away from being hit by too much gravel. Mudflaps might cover this up. There's gotta be something unobtrusive and stylish out there.
I've seen some members with some kind of fender extenders but I wouldn't call them mud flaps though. Hope you aren't getting the ones like on Mack trucks with chicks on them
How to make the C6Z guards, fit on a C5. They look awesome! I'm going to order a set of these and try it out.
GM Parts Direct (supporting vendor) has them for something like $33 each. How can one go wrong?
Apsisusa.com makes C6 type splash guards that are custom designed for the C5...cost is about $180 a pair..front or rear...look great in the rear not too keen on the front..just sold my front ones for $80.

I read some of the threads about the Apsis guards, but it seems most of the pictures have been moved or deleted, and the few pics there only show the "prototype" model that looks dusty and muddled in color. Do you happen to have pics of yours with these installed?

I make them out of very thin 3/32" ? clear Lexan. You only need to do the front. I use the existing screws to mount them. They are hardly noticable and theykeep the rocks off the side all the way back. Mine get hazy from sand and rock about every two years, so I make another pair. I don't remember how much the lexan costs, but it's not more than a couple of bucks for each one out of a sheet of material. My pattern is similar to the shape of the stuff available from the after market suppliers except I make them a bit longer.
