Default Royal purple oil

I have one question about this oil. Is it ok to use in a 98 ls1 motor.... I know the idea that its over priced and mobille one is a better buy, but I caught a good sale of the stuff and i need to know that its very good oil to use in a vette(98) regardless of the cost... please let me know

Royal Purle is very good oil. It is actually only slightly more expensive than Mobil 1.

Been running RP on my '98 for a while, I used castrol synthetic on my last oil change because RP was not in stock, and my car was on jacks. It may just me but with RP the car ran a tad cooler...

Use RP...good stuff

I've been using it in my 03 for the last year and a half. I'm happy with it. My car also runs a little cooler which is a good thing.

Your engine takes almost 7 quarts of oil.

I use RP in my boosted C5 and seems to work just fine and for a stock setup is over kill, that is unless you get it on sale

I've been using RP for 2 years now and although it may be "overkill" in my bolt on, tuned LS1 it's not a question of $$$ when you only do one oil change a year.
