I love it. Why didn't the c-6 look like that to begin with?
The only thing that would make that sweeter is if they got rid of the itty bitty hood and made it like the c-4 where the whole front opened up.

NOW we are talking... I cannot go to a car show and see a C4 with the clamshell up without wishing they kept that.
I used to own a C3 and this car looks OK. I doubt it would ever fly as the new Corvette, because the aerodynamics of the C3 weren't very good. This car would probably have the same engineering problems that old ones did. The drag coefficient isn't all that great for Corvettes until you get to the C5, really. C3 is actually not all that aerodynamic.
The "gills" were actually functional because air pressure would build up at the front of the car and lift the front wheels off the ground. I don't think this design lends itself to 190 mph or with body mods out to 200 mph like a ZR-1. If you're going to compete with the best in the world, then your car can't be drag limited to 150 or 160 mph...
I always saw Corvette has an ultra modern car that should be looking forward, not backward. Retro styling is OK for a Mustang (I actually own an '06 Mustang) or Challenger, but I don't think it fits well with the Corvette tradition. Certain styling cues are ok to keep (the tail lights for example), but otherwise, give me something more up-to-date and forward looking.

Ok, I am a little diffrent than most. I hate retro style. I love the C3s, I have one. But if you want a C3, get a C3. If you want a 60's Mustang, get one. a C3 vette and a C7 vette need to be diffrent. Re-making old styles is like hollywood re-making old movies.
Fantastic!* I really hope the C7 has those lines, especially the rear window!* It sort of has a Ford CTish look, but I still love it.* I image the pop ups would have to go in exchange for the exposed HIDs.*
