Default Header help on 02 Z

down the road i plan on supercharging my vette but nothing too crazy, want it to be streetable. i can't decide between the LG pro or street headers, i just don't want to spend double for half an inch if it isn't going to be a huge difference. I am not the smartest person when it comes to all this so, i'll leave it up to you guys

^^Might want to also look at Dynotech Supermaxx headers.

Some of the vendors here sell them and when they have a sale you can get a pretty good deal. I bought a set last year during a sale for around $1,450 that included headers, mid-pipe, and high-flow cats. That price included shipping.

If you are trying to save a little $$, you can look in the C5 parts for sale section and see what people have or place a WTB (want to buy) ad.

Right now, LG is having a super sale on the street header system complete. It's a terrific buy on fantastic headers, with or without cats, x-pipe and polished s/s system. I have them and I'm very satisfied with their fit, performance and sound. Free shipping, too.

I would go with LG pros, it will save you in the long run, just buy one time.

If you're supercharging, you will definitely benefit from the LG Pros over the LG street series. You may not see much difference until then, but it will matter.

Any quality brand header will work fine. Don't twist yourself into knots over it.

I debated the pro's as well but in the end found a used set of Dynatech's with catted x-pipe in the parts for sale section. I still managed to make 589rwhp/501rwtq through the 2.5" x-pipe with the help of an A&A Procharger P1SC kit with the 4.25" pulley and 91 octane. Since you want a streetable car and don't have overly ambitious goals in terms of power, I'd say save your money and go with the streets or Dynatechs. Seriously though, when I was pricing out new headers the streets seemed like the best deal on the market.

Like Independent1 stated, keep an eye out in the parts for sale section and you might find a great deal on a used set!
