Default Lifting & Supporting ??

I want to lift my 98 coupe to paint the calipers and have spent a hour searching threads on this subject but am still confused. I have some hockey pucks and a low profile jack that will allow me to get under the pucks without ramps. Can I lift one side at a time and then place a jack stand on that side? I was planning on doing the front and then moving to the back. Is this way OK to get the car off the ground to do this job? Any pictures or links would be even greater. I have never lifted my baby and want to make sure I don't do any damage. Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes you can. My car is really low and I use the puck as well. Make sure you brace your back tire and use jack stands. With my car, I lift one side (passenger front tire) and the other front tire (drivers) slightly lifts too, so both front tires are clear from the ground. At that moment I place a stand under the frame (forward of the oil pan), lower the jack - proceed to the other side and lift the car again from the drivers side - when theres enough clearance I place another stand. That should be simple enough to do two wheels at a time.

Use this link, very easy to lift and support your car.

This is the safest way as well. If a puck slips your fender is cracked
