Lately my headlights make a loud gringing noise as the reach the closed position. It initiall startd with one light but now both do it. Is there some sort of closure adjustment?

It's the headlight gears. They are plastic and that grinding is where teeth have been ground off. They need to be replaced, recommendation is to go with brass gears.
