Neighbor offered me their garage for the winter... as I have a truck and a four-wheeler with snowplow.
1) Should I take her up on the offer
2) What should I pay her -- or atleast offer
** its a non-heated garage (neither is mine)
** she is in her mid- 70s and does not have 'young' folks around... ever. grand children are in thier 20s.
Like others have said just help her clear her driveway , keep her walkway clear, just help her out if she needs it. Old people would probably prefer help to $$. That's a fair trade.

I'd offer your kind old neighbor friendship - spend a little time with her and help her out as those opportunities come about. Offer to go run some errands for her when the streets are snow covered and icy.
As a son of an elderly mother, I know a visit, some fresh pastries and hot coffee and a little conversation will generate a lot of goodwill.
