Is there anything I can do that won't require a muffler shop or welding to get a little more sound out of my stock catback?
Has anyone ever drilled into the piping before the muffler or any tricks like this? I know of the pipe bypass mod. Was wondering if I could do something at home to give it more of a roar without spending too much money.
would drilling a 1/2 inch hole or so into the overaxel pipe before the muffler make a difference in a good way as far as sound at idle and at throttle?
I would think that from a safety issue that drilling a hole in your catback is a bad idea!
In the overaxel pipe (facing the ground) right before the muffler?
I don't see it being a safety issue but it might not produce a great sound is what I was worried about.
How much more sound are your trying to get? I have a straight pipe set that I would sell you if interested. Pm. me.
If you are handy enough to take the stock ones off and put these on that might be a good route for you to take, other wise drilling the hole just before the muffler may work to.
just get a used z06 system or something like that from the forum...drilling holes in your exhaust system just seems sketchy and in my honest opinion...dumb.
