I wave at all Vettes, even ratty ones. Hey, maybe they just bought it and are gettin' ready to restore it! And if a ratty C4 is all you can afford, that's better than 90% of anything else!!
difference in area I guess, but here I get the most waves back from C4 owners, followed by C5 and C3. Almost never get a wave from a C6 (except my dad in his '07), pass 'em all the time. Too new to the Corvette family, I guess.

Are you guys kidding? The wave isn't C5 specific. I bought my first Corvette in 1968 and started waving at all the other Corvette drivers back then. I still wave at the other Corvette drivers. Who do you think started the Corvette wave, it wasn't some C5 driver. As far a I know it was started buy the drivers of the C1's and it is a tradition that I continue. I only get about maybe at best 50% of the drivers to wave back but that's OK. When I rode Harleys, I'd wave at other Harley riders. At least most of them would wave back.

Happens with any sort of unique vehicle. Motorcycles, old Jeeps, boats, ect..... It's just a common bond thing
