I just put my changer back in my car and noticed that when you insert the magazine and slide the door shut, the changer immediately loads the disks from the magazine into the changer. When the door is opened the changer then loads the disks into the magazine for removal. Aside from dis-assembly I do not know how you could remove the magazine without power. If you could remove the magazine without power it would be without the disk carriers.
If you could identify the specific pins for 12v positive and negative, that would probably be all you would need for temporary power to remove the magazine.
