key fob recognition
our 2000 coupe doesn't ''obey'' commands from fob [lock-unlock or pop hatch] . since this is true of both fobs and battery was dead a couple weeks ago i suspect there is a correlation between battery and lack of response by car . i think i saw something posted about this in the past but don't remember what and i'm not sure how to phrase a search for this 'problem' . i did a search when battery was dead to find the best battery then took car to have battery-charging system checked and was given a computer printout stating everything was fine and car should be driven more . we put gas in 66 about 3 times in every 2 years and gas the 2000 about 3 times a year so guess they should be driven more [ i hate to drive]. peace.......and thanks

You need to match the fobs to the car. I believe pushing both lock and unlock buttons at the same time and holding them down for 10 seconds while next to the car does it. The procedure is outlined in your owners manual as well
