Double D Mods is now offering custom hand made sub boxes made by forum member NVTHIS!
These boxes are made of the best quality materials by Jason and many forum members will tell you his boxes are the best you can get
You have a choice of a Stealth Type box or a Hangover Box(note: hangover box does not come with a case of beer)
C5 NVTHIS STEALTH BOX
-Available in 8”,10” and 12” cutouts.
-Allows use of factory compartment cover
-Available in ½”and/or ¾” MDF
-Double cutouts available for 8” and 10” subs ** Add $10 for double cutout***
-Will accommodate 10” subs with a depth of 6 7/8” or less and 12” subs with a depth of 6 3/8” or less. Magnet diameters on 12” subs must be less than 6”.
-Available in Black, Lt.Oak, Torch Red, Shale, Firethorne and Gray. Carpet matches OEM carpet.

Same question. What is the volume of these? Are they around .75 cu. ft.? Is there a recomended sub that people like? - I'm refereing to a 12" sub.

Correct. The CD changer can be moved to one of the side compartments. There should be enough factory wiring to just move it over.
I probably could, but the box would be huge,lol. The 12w7 requires 1.37 cu ft or so.

A little more about my boxes showing construction design and various carpet colors. Not all boxes come with baffles. Just depends on sub or subs used and airspace requirements. My boxes are constructed using MDF 3/4" but can be built in 1/2" for weight savings. Boxes are brad nailed and liquid nailed to ensure structural integrity. ACC carpet is used, which is the closest match to OEM material. Boxes are also routed to give the subs a recessed look, unless the sub(s) has a depth where recessing can not be done.
