They're claiming +30hp over the LS6 intake. Dunno if I believe that.

The Weiand is supposed to be really good in the midrange, but I still think a FAST will make more power on top.

It's certainly not a bad choice, though, considering that you get an interchangeable snout for your choice of throttle body size.

Default I like

If the claims are true that'd be one sweet intake that looks stock

they only downfall to this is that there seems to be no room for growth. Cant port if u go bigger CI one day.... would seem like a great bolt on for stock LS motor with bolt ons.... dont think u can give to much gear thou, u might not feel the power gain.

I don't think they designed it for big cube motors anyway, heck if it competes with the FAST 90 from 3,000-6,200 then it's probably great for most street cars though. I think the runner length is too long to gain anything on the FAST above 6,200 even if you could port it.

Is it available yet? I read sometime back that there were inventory problems. Anyone tried to order one?

Basic Operating RPM Range: 2,000-6,200

I hope that's not true since that about the same power range and an LS1 intake. A mildly cam'ed Z06 with a stock intake and heads will make peak power in the 6,600 range. I don't want the LS6 to choke itself out with mild mods if the 6,200 max of the Weiand is true.

edit: Yup, it does choke the hell out of the motor in high RPMs... http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=986807

I think I'll pass.

They claim to start shipping in mid Nov.... In terms of power range an inependent comparsion done by MAST or MASS Motorsports on Gen IV motor showed some impressive gains... do a serach over at Ls1 tech I am sure it will come up.
