Default Non-pop up headlights

Hello, I have been thinking about buying these non-pop ups. The price is great!! Does anybody have anything good or bad to say (about the quality of the item)? Any experience with them, was the install easy??

Thanks!!

these are the DEPO style lights. Aside from having the biggest "frog eyes" of all the fixed headlights, the lens is made from acrylic not lexan making it rather fragile. Various members have reported microfractures from road debris.

Default Depo headlights

I installed them on my vette and I really like the look with the hood I have. I have to replace one cause I hit a deer on the passenger side. Install took alittle work but not too hard if you are patient enough and some mechanical ability. If you need any help let me know I might be able to guide you in the right direction. Jason

I got flashed by a semi last week and this morning i had a guy flash me then swerve right at me What are these fuggers gonna do when i throw some hids in the high beams and unleash both highs and lows on them

Do you have a wall shot of the pattern at night? Perhaps you can adjust the optics to make the cutoff more pronounced. A sharper cutoff = less getting flashed by all those unattractive non-female drivers

I don't have one right now. How far away should the car be for the sake of taking a picture? I know when i pull into my garage, the cutoff across my cabinets is pretty clear. I just don't think i can aim my lights down any more. Maybe it could be the fact that people aren't used to seeing HID's around here. I know when i first installed them, i parked my car at the end of my driveway and i walked back a ways to look at the lights. When i was standing (i'm 6'1") they didn't seem that bad. When i crouched down it was WHAM!!! and i was seeing spots for a while

A note to people planning to get DEPO Headlights: It would be a worthwile investment to have either clearcoat sprayed on the lens or 3M paint protectant. This will help prevent or mimize damage from road debris as the lens is reportedly made from acrylic not polycarbonate.

20'-25' is a good distance for evaluation
Also make a note at how high the cutoff is in relation to the lights themselves. I aim mine streight out instead of the traditional aiming.
