Drivers auto-dimming mirror replacement?

I need to replace the glass in my 02 Z. The auto dimming glass has gone bad. Does anyone know the part number for the glass only and how do you pull the mirror out of the housing?

The electrochromatic mirror part number is 12455610 and list for $365.16. I just had mine replaced at Chevy because it went bad.

a little off topic but does anyone know if you can add a auto dimming mirror to a car that was wasnt equipted with one?

My passenger side doesn't work. The dealer said it never did. Does anyone know for sure if the passenger side is not included in the electrochromatic mirrors?

Chevy does not produce a vehicle, including new vehicles into the 2009 model year, with an electrochromatic passenger-side OSRVM. I can't remember one in the past with such capability, but I could be wrong.
