cutting the 02 air box?

cutting the 02 air box?

Is it best to cut from where the original opening is down on both sides aboit 3 3/4 inches--this would make the opening 6 in across by 3 3/4 down--seams like after yhe motor is warm the top of the airbox is really hot while the middle and downward is much cooler--any advice would be nice

Your saying it makes no diff. in perf? Ive always read a cutout box with k/n filter is worth afew ponies--No?

the reason i say the middle to the bottom cut is beacause after motor is warmed up--the top of the air box is reaqlly hot as to the middle and bottom is much cooler--
