Default A Vette and the rain

While I was searching for a Z06 for the last few months, I kept reading that they never been out in the rain. To my surprise today after the rain, I went out after work and saw the Corvette still sitting there. I was under the impression the paint would run off or they would melt. What a sigh of relief there.

All kidding aside, I have to respect the person who takes care of a car like that.

It is rumored that they also DON'T melt in the snow! But mine will be sleeping in the garage until April anyway.

My garage is out of commission right now and mine has been spending time out side for a while! So far so good ,,,,but I do have to learn how to adjust the passenger window,,a mild but noticeable leak at the top of the A pillar!!

I kept mine outside without a cover, rain, bird crap, wind , leaves, etc etc etc, for 2 weeks while i was awaiting my cover, and the garage to be built, even though i have a little stain from where the bird did his duty on the verte it still looks great

Glad yours survived. The paint would wash right off of mine.

most people don't drive them in the rain cuz they haven't ditched the runcraps.
IT's tough to keep them on the road when you are slidding all over the place.

My 78' S/A Edition never sees the rain, my 98' is a DD and it drove perfectly in the Northern California rains in the past week.

Used to be a fair weather vette.....now I want to enjoy it more so if it is raining....so be it....but.....there is really no reason to use it in the snow being I have a Trailblazer so that is where I will have to draw the line. 04 with 16K.....I do need to drive and enjoy it more.

Daily driver... rain or shine here. I drive a Yukon every now and then when the weather gets bad but that's more because of the other idiots on the road here in Virginia. The Vette does great for me in the rain.

Sunny, rainy, foggy, cloudy, hailing, storming, snowing, windy, my Corvette has scene, lived and not been damaged by any of those conditions. Strange...

Mine rarely ventures out in the rain, but I'm not worried if it happens. In fact, I drove it coast to coast and back last summer in all kinds of rain. New Mexico in August has some serious precipitation!
