I have a 02 Coupe and the power windows get stuck every couple of uses going down. Typically happens half to 2/3 of the way down. Removes the door panel expecting to fine the track or motor loose but I don't see a anything. Makes a heck of a nise when it sticks going down. Seems to go up fine? Any ideas's
Both windows? Something is hitting the window. If the motor is dying...whack it!
Check the accordian harness between the door and the car and take it apart. If you see bare wire cover it up with electrical tape (Bill Curlee's Sticky on the tech side). If that doesn't work, you can slam the door a couple of times while pushing the down switch, or take the speaker out of the door and tap the motor with a hammer while holding down the switch. Sometimes the window gets stuck...search for "Bakersfield window repair for the DIY)
The window always goes down some before making the grinding noise and stopping 1/2 to 2/3 down. Anyone know how the motor interfaces with the cable drive?
