Default Tire Question

I have a 99 coupe with 48k on the car. What are the stock size tires on a 99 and what size can I go to without any problems? What brands do you suggest.

Thanks In Advance.

Side of the driver's door gives you the tire size and proper pressure.

What type of driving do you intend to do?

Do you want runflats?

Here's some recommendations: Goodyear GS-D3s, Michelin Pilot Sports, Firestone Wide Ovals. If you want runflats, try the Michelin Pilot Sport 2 ZPs or the Firestone Firehawks.

I am on my third set of tires on my 99. The second set were the Firestone Firehawk run flats. I now have the Michelin run flats. I liked the Firestone's best. They are quiet and offer reasonable performance including on wet pavement.

I switched over to the Michelin Pilot Sports and couldn't be more satisfied.

I carry a Victor plug kit and a small 12V compressor as my new "Spare" and enjoy the ride so much better than those rigid runflats.

Unless you want blowout protection at 150mph you really don't need runflats.

I'm running 245's and 275's on mine.

Hope it helps,
Bruce

I'm moving in the near future to AZ. I hope to be driving the car year round. I think runflats will be the best bet. I have Goodyear GS-D3 right now with about 25k on them.

Thanks,
Gary
