Default Winter Storage

I bought my '04 Z06 in June and it is about to be stored for the winter.
Is it best to keep the battery on a charger or should I just disconnect the negative side from the battery like the OM says?

You'll probably get opinions towards each of those options, but I think most on this forum will reply that they leave battery connected, then connect a "battery maintainer" or "battery tender" , NOT a charger. A battery maintainer will "manitain" a full charge, in other words, shut off when battery gets fully charged, then come on again when battery starts going down. A charger just keeps pushing juice into the battery, even when fully charged, which is not good for it either.

Good luck and welcome to the Corvette family and the Corvette Forum. Enjoy that thing!

I always just left the battery connected in the car and then hooked a Battery Tender Plus to it. Always kept the battery fully charged and ready to go.

Why put yourself through that - they can be driven in the winter, just be selective on the days you take it out. Look for days when the roads are dry (the lower the temp, the more HP you get!), any you'll be fine.
