IF you plan on using GM MLS gaskets, your C.R. is going to be about 11.4:1. Assuming CA. 91 oct., be sure about your tune before hard running on hot days. Sounds like a killer setup, but then I'm biased.
Yeah I came up with the same thing, I've talked to a few different tuners about it and they said I should be ok. I'm planning on going with a .054" gasket to keep the dcr below 8.5
Just for comparison's case, mine are @ 61cc, and we have 92 octane here in WA. So far the tuner has said no KR, but when I tried to pin him down regarding spark advance, he wouldn't give me a definative answer. I was thinking, if I had to do it again, I'd go for a little more compression. With my cam, my SCR is 10.95:1, and DCR is 8.6. No pinging on even very hot days.
