Anyone considering buying a cd from wadsfrc I got it come to find out it runs on xp but not vista you will have to downgrade your pc to make it work just my 2 cents but it doesnt work you get what you pay for
I confess up front I am computer-challenged. I have also just ordered this CD ROM from a forum member. ANd I also have VISTA. Would someone kindly explain how to make the computer "compatible" with the CD.
Thank you.
Glen
If the program is installed right click on the icon you would click to run it and select compatibility, then compatibility mode and then xp. you then have to restart your computer and it might actually work. you can also look here for more help.

If you're talking about the GM service manual, I just installed it on my Vista machine and it works fine. I'm no Geek either. You might want to PM Wadsfrc, he's a very helpful guy.
You can get it to work with Vista. I have it working on this computer which is running Vista Home Premium. You have to be running in an Administrator work space. Follow the instruction sheet exactly. You are only computer challenged if you choose to be. If the DVD stops loading stop and start over again. It took 3 tries to get it loaded into my computer.
FYI, you also need winrar to extract the files. Most people who have problems only extract the data. You need to run the setup program AFTER extraction. 2 seperate processes that take about 15 minutes each. Also, if you have zone alarm or ANY internet security programs, get rid of them before installing. You can reload after it is installed.
