Default Comprehensive wheel and tire thread

How about everyone with oversized wheel/tire combo's post pics, sizes, brands of wheels and tires, links to purchase if allowed, specifics like approx costs, ride differences, traction better or worse, tubbing, rubbing, brake or computer issues.
Maybe even make it a sticky

Wow J.P.M. that's how to answer a question.
I think there are too many posts that are lacking details/info, not his.

I got 19x10, and 19x11 CCW SP500's. Continental ContiSport Contact 3's (275/30-19, and 305/30-19). Cost $4100 shipped to my door.

Front wheel has a 2" lip, and rear wheel has a 3" lip. No issues with full wheel turn up front.

The car actually drives a lot nicer after the change (much smoother) compared to the stock Good Year Super car tires (non-runflats).

CCW matched the Tire Rack price for the tires. CCW mounted and balanced the tires for me. I got them, and put them on the car in my driveway, and that was it !

My traction improved a lot ! My car has 448rwhp, and 432rwtq. Before with my stock GoodYear SC's I was not able to get ANY traction until I was well into 3rd gear (over 60mph). Now I can stomp it in 2nd gear with just a little slippage.

No tubbing, no rubbing, and no active handling issues with the computer. I matched the Diameter of the stock tires to the new tires so as not to effect the speedo, or the stagger of the front/rear tires.

I installed the C6 lowering bushings in the front (lowered max), and longer bolts in the back (to make the back match the front.)

A major issue for me was NOT to add weight when adding new wheels... Below convinced me that CCW was the way to go !

I did some homework before I got them....
Wheel/Tire weights comparing stock Z06 setup to my new CCW setup.

Factory Z06 setup =
Front
...19.2 lbs (02-04 Z06 Front 17x9.5)
...29 lbs(265/40-17)(Goodyear Eagle SC)
...48.2 lbs Total
Rear
...21 lbs (02-04 Z06 Rear 18x10.5)
...33 lbs (295/35-18)(Goodyear Eagle SC)
...54.0 lbs Total

CWW - SP500 19/19 setup=
Front
...22.5 lbs (19x10 Front SP500)
...26 lbs (275/30-19)(Continental ContiSport 3)
...48.5 lbs Total
Rear
...23.5 lbs (19x11 Rear SP500)
...28 lbs (305/30-19) (Continental ContiSport 3)
...51.5 lbs Total

You forgot the main reason I went with CCW. Take a close look at the wheel weights. I love the IForged wheels for sure, very nice ! Just not as light as the CCW's I got.

I can see your point!
Our TE series are about 2 lbs heavier but in the end CCW and the IForged TE series wheel / tire packages are the same price.

Good looking vette my friend

Having run both street and road course, Nitto RII's is what I use. (See sig for size). However no one tire is going to provide optimum performance for dry vs wet vs durability vs straight-line vs curves. Every decision is a compromise.

Toque - Sweet looking ride. Long time admirer. Please comment on the lip size on the front and rear wheel setup you went with. Do the 275s rub the inner fender well on full lock turn in? Thanks in advance.

Added your questions to my original post, thanks for reminding me about that.
Front wheel has a 2" lip, and rear wheel has a 3" lip. No issues with full wheel turn up front.

Thanks for the cudo's
