Peeling Center Caps

My 03 Z06's caps are beginning to peel the gray. Does anyone have the paint color? I am not sure if I want to touch them up or just purchase a new set. When will GM learn that paint does not adhere to plastic well...

Just get new(used) caps. I'm sure you can get some cheap. I have extras and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I'll sell you mine. Make me an offer.

I bought a perfect set of replacement caps off of the "auction site" for $20. I think they would cost at least $20 each if you order them new.

Goto NAPA and have them mix up some

WA 9789 that is the paint code for the 02-04 Z06 non-chrome wheels

My local NAPA will make a pint at a time for about 27.00 and you have to buy some clearcoat as well for 7.00

I haven't done this yet but plan to soon.

Finally I gave them a couple coats of WA9789 but I used enamel instead of base/clear. After the paint cured I used a fine brush and some red enamel to re-paint the logos in the center. They look like new now. Pretty inexpensive fix, just a little work.
