Default VR Power Duct Install

Good instruction came with the kit.The couplers were a VERY tight fit,but a little vaseline on the edges made the slide easier. While I was at it,went ahead and cleaned up the MAF & TB.

Good transaction with RPI on this.10% Disc with fairly quick ship.

Unit looks good with the VR system.I didn't notice any power increase, but maybe at higher speeds. My guess 1-4 HP gain.

I have been tossing around getting the VR. Just how hard was the installation? Yours looks great.

The install was VERY easy.It would have taken about 20 min,but I took the extra time to clean the MAF & TBody.

It attached to my VR intake system with no cutting.

I'm sure the 2 VR products work better together than the VR intake and the old stock duct did.

the vararam cai is not a hard install it just takes some time. really it just is a lot of removing of parts so you can get the intake tubes installed and putting everything back together. It will take a couple of hours. As for the inlet tube above it should be a very easy install.

Easy install after I filed down the inside of the duct to get the maf to fit. Not happy about that, but at least it is on now.

I have assembled mine with it off the car, but I haven't put it on yet. I am doing a FAST swap at the same time. Should be done later this week.

The stock 85mm MAF has a little notch on the side that gets in the way, but there is still plenty of room to attach the coupler and clamp it down for a good seal.

Well, I got mine installed. I did a FAST90 intake with an ls2 TB at the same time. I wasn't real happy with the fitting of the coupler from the MAF to the TB. After looking at the pic in the first post I think it is due to the MAF and/or intake though. It seems to point a little bit upward. I need a flexible or bent coupler. I got it to all seal as is, but it doesn't look just right.

I hear you. My maf was a pain to get to fit. I hope I never have to take it off the power duct because I am sure either the duct or the maf is going to break. It is way to tight.

installed mine today. Very easy install. my maf and couplers fit great. the maf would just slide out if not for the clamps. did not get a chance to drive the car after the install though. I did not get it for any power increase. i wanted to see if it would help with some issues i started having after my vararam cai install. the couplers seem to seel well and the duct does look great with the cai. look forward to driving the car post install.

You can see here how mine fit with the FAST90/LS2 TB combo. Also notice the fitting I had to put in there for a fresh air source since the ls2 TB did not have one, and I am still using a closed PCV system.
