Default Put it away today

With the temp at freezing and flurries, I changed the oil, filter, polished and put the cover on the 02 coupe today. That's it until spring.

The oil life was at 96% from being changed in Nov. last year. It has just turned over 15K miles.

When I logged the mileage I noticed that I put on less than 1K this year.

I have a good reason though. I got and 08 C6 with 436 hp and I just had to break that LS3 motor in.

Even through the winters in the Northeast can get bad, I have no intention to put it away. When the roads get bad I don’t use it, but when the roads are clear of salt and snow out it comes.

We leave for the winter so I prepare the C5 for a long winter sleep. I change the oil/filter, put 35lbs of air in tires, Rejex the car, fill the tank and pour in 2 bottles of Techron and the proper amount Stabil. Carefully put the California car cover on it and plug in the battery tender. It's a sad, very sad day!

I meant to add... less than 1000 miles?
We put about 12K (s)miles on the '01, 7.5K (s)miles on the '08 and 2.5K (s)miles on my wife's '04 in our April to November drive season this year...

1K the whole year, Why even have it? It isn't like it is a collector car, I am sorry, But I bought mine to drive and enjoy, I guess to each there own. I put about 13000 a year on mine and enjoyed every mile of it.

He said he was breaking in his C6, so he took it easy on his c5. My wife only did 200 miles on her Miata one year. Funny thing was, at least 3/4 of that was probably me taking it out and running it through the gears every couple weeks so the battery would stay up.
