Replacement door speakers

Can I just replace the door speakers without anything special if my car has bose? Would new speakers be plug and play or do I need something else to make aftermarket speakers work with the stock HU?

If you have bose you have to replace with bose, or change alot. Bose is not aftermarker friendly! Check e-bay, I know there are factory speakers there.

The systems operations are different. Most or all after market speakers are 8 ohms and Bose is 4 ohms. Bose can use a smaller amp/power to push their speakers. If you use a 8 ohm speaker you will find that the power/sound generated is weak. You will also need adapters for the leads to the after market speakers.
