Default Winter Storage - Interior Moisture

I will be storing my 00 Vert for the winter soon. I just recently bought it and this will be first winter storage for me. Car will be stored outside and I live in Reading, PA where winters can be cold with occasional snow storm. I have already followed the advice of several forum members and purchased a Wolf Noah Car Cover that fits snug.

Someone mentioned to me that I should put something inside interior to absorb any moisture that might find its way into car as it will be sitting outside. Does anyone have a recommendation on what to put in car to absorb any moisture?

As always, any response is appreciated!

I've seen the stuff. It's like a cool whip size tub of a dessicant material that absorbs mositure. You just pop the top and set it on the floor. They make it in bags too. They're popular among the antique car circuit for extended periods of storage. There's one called "Absorbag" and another call "dry pac". From one Pennsylvanian to another, build a garage. I've stored my classic Chevy outside for 3 winters now and I couldn't take it anymore. I bought a garage package from Carter Lumber for 4,000 bucks and built it myself this summer. Not as hard as you might think. Now that I have the Vette too I am really glad I have dry storage for them. The car covers always seem to allow moisture to pass through, not to mention get damaged from the ice and snow etc..
Good luck

Go to a Lowes or Home Depot and pick up a couple of Dri-Z-Aires. Sit one on the front floor board and one in the rear hatch area. Sit them in a pan or something just in case you forget to empty them so they won't run over on your carpet. I have used these in my 68 firebird convertible and they work great.
