Mustangs are plenty accurate. They just tend to give lower readings than Dynojets. Unless you plan on carrying your dyno sheet around in your glovebox to show all your friends it shouldn't be an issue.
They may give lower #'s (on average) because they are designed to dyno Mustangs which usually are in the 200-275 rwhp range. bad jk
but my tuner loves them
yes they show less The new Zr-1 makes 505 on one then 549 on another brand whats important is (this is also with 390's) expecting better with the lastest mod checking wednesday
My tuner uses a Mustang Dyno as well. He gave me a pretty detailed technical explanation outlining the differences between it and the other brands. The Mustang Dyno costs more than double a Dynojet. It has a more durable braking system and can run under load longer, etc., etc.
One thing I found funny was that when you dyno on a Mustang Dyno you don't average the 3 pulls, you just take the highest of the of the 3. They do tend to deliver the lowest numbers of the bunch. Some say 6%-10% lower than a DynoJet.
Bottom line is it is just a measuring tool to validate the performance changes, so just make sure you use the same dyno after each mod.

an increase of 40 rwhp on a mustang dyno is the same as an increase of 40 rwhp on a dynojet.
A dyno is only accurate if you're comparing before and after #'s on the same dyno. I've seen some Mustangs dyno's that read low, and I've also seen ones that give #'s similar to dyno jets in the same area.
