I have already made a post saying that my brakes squeal really bad, about 2 days or so after i wash the car and untill i wash the car/wheels again.
I noticed the other day, that when i am cruising in the neighborhood, around 5-10 mph and around some corners that the brakes will make some short squeals with the brake pedal not even touched???

My last car did this some times as well....
whats the deal?? what causes it??
thanks
Are your pads down enough that you're hitting the squealers? They're small pieces of metal that squeal when you're really low on pads.
Do these squeals sound more like scratchy/scrape-y high pitched noises? Does it come and go, or is it ALWAYS there?
My car picked up something similar, as above, starting after I thoroughly hosed out the wheelwells with degreaser. I can only assume some of the grit worked its way into the brakes someplace and is making the noise. It still occurred before parking the car for the winter, so it's been frustrating to say the least. I might just take the brakes apart and clean things.
ahh should of noted that. the car has 11k miles and the brakes are in good shape.
Have you had the car for all 11k miles? That's low enough miles that in normal driving I wouldn't expect the pads to be too bad, but if the car was tracked 2 or 3 times you could easily be out of pad.

no i have had the car since 7,500 miles, but i checked the brakes after i bought the car and they appear to be good

it sounds about the same as when i hit the brakes and the squeal, but just not as loud or as long.
