I often can't turn the a/c off. I guess it's because whatever you have the temp set at, the computer wants the a/c on to achieve that temperature.
My friend has an older car, and whenever he turns on the heat he always hits the "a/c" button because he says air conditioning means it conditions the air, whether cold or hot.

No worries. It's normal for the auto climate. Mine does the same too.

If you hit the AC button again it will turn the compressor off and just use the fan or the heat depending on your temp. setpoint.

Hello,
The reason that your AC turns on every time you start the car is probably because you have memory seating???
IF you do, I'm pretty sure that it memorizes seat position, side mirrors and climate control.
Just a thought,

This is explained in the ownners manual - net is that when you have the HVAC set to Auto, that enables the defroster which means the AC runs. Change the mode to something that does not have defrost on, then press the AC button and it should turn off. Hope that helps
