Default Reverse lock out solenoid replacement

I replaced the thing and what a PITA.

You basically have to crawl under the car feet toward the front and then reach around the transmission to guide the socket onto the one bolt (I woulda been yelling if there had been two!).

Then you hope you don't drop the socket wrench on your head or take out some bridgework.

Aleve is your friend........

I probably have to replace mine too. I don't think it'll be too bad if I get the car on a lift. Mine stopped working when I pulled out my tranny, missed the reverse lockout plug, wired a new plug in there and it still doesn't work so I'm assuming it's the solenoid. How much was it for a new one?

About $120.00.

No KY jelley either.....

A lift would be great.

I have this horrible phobia of being squished under a car
