Default Hi everyone, introducing myself....

I'm new here and figured it was time I said hello. I'm finally going to be buying another Corvette w/in two months (used) and could use some advice.

I briefly owned a C4 about 3 years ago. Needed a few things but overall a very nice car. I felt too guilty though, owning it as my wife was driving, imo, an over-the-hill minivan. So I sold it and bought her a new car ( I also have a P/U). Now I'm able to go ahead with a clear concience and buy another one. Now comes the big decision ....

With the money I'll be able to afford do I go with another C4 or a C5? I've never driven a C5 before and figured before I went ahead with test drives, I'd ask you folks for some advice.

Major differences between the two are my biggest concern. Comfort, reliability ... stuff like that.

Anyway, I appreciate in advance any and all advice given. Take care and hope to speak with quite often.

Yes get the C-5. You will get lots of miles out of a LS1 if you take good care of it..So forget the C-4 and get your butt in a nice C-5. You will love it..Try it i did and will never go back to a C-4.

All good to know! Thanks! I'm sort of leaning towards a C5, which you can probably guess by my being in this section .

How much do you want to spend?
A very nice C5 can be had for reasonable money, but it depends on what your definition of reasonable is.
The C5 is light years ahead of the C4 IMO.

Skip the C4 and go straight to the C5. Like a lot of the guys here I had a C4 before the C5 I have now. Out of all the Corvettes that I've owned over the years, the C4 was the only one I was glad to see go. I've had my current C5 for about 5 years now and it still puts a smile on my face when I look at it.

My C6 friends always try to talk me into buying a C6, but I really like the look of the C5 over the C6 and it's paid for!

Welcome!

I just went through the same decision making process over the summer...and "settled" (hardly) on a C5. Bought it in Carlisle. Best decision I ever made - I love it

It's a no brainer.. There is absolutely no comparison. I would buy another C3 before a C4. Lots of good deals on C5s right now.
And welcome to the addiction....

First off, welcome aboard. :
Secondly, don't even give the C4 another thought. I owned two, coupe and vert, and the C5 is 10 times the car. Comfy, reliable, fast, sexy......it goes on.
I love the C4's, but the 5's blow them outa the water.
