My Y2K C5 seems like it's sporting the "4x4" look even more so than other stock C5's. I was wondering if a few of you (w/ no lowering done on the car) could do a quick measurement for me of the distance between the top of the tire and the edge of fender. I am measuring roughly 3.5" front & rear. Thanks
Just measured my Y2K and stock ride height is 3" front and rear, not sure why yours would be an extra .5" ... my car is a Z51 if that makes a difference.
My 01 z51 was 3.5 inchs in front and 3 in the rear. I recently lowered it all the way on stock bolts and now it is 2.25 front and 2 rear (which looks perfect IMO with my wide tires.
I guess I do have a 4x4 The only thing i can think of was that it changed after I installed the C6Z06 shocks about a month ago. i should have done an actual measurment before the shock change-out. If I remember right the new C6Z06's were a bit longer than the originals. I wonder if the ride height will be able to lower down enough when I try to lower it on the stock bolts. we shall see here in a few weeks. I will keep you posted.
My completely stock 2003 is just a little under 3"
Same here for my '03. I would like it a little lower but with the speed bumps in my neighborhood and the fact that I already scrape coming into my driveway it will have to stay stock.

I remember reading the the C6Z06 shocks can actually raise the car a bit when they are installed.
