Default Quick help needed... How do I remove the Stock Airbox?

Hey guys...

A little confused here. How do I remove the stock airbox, once I have everything disconnected from it? the part that attaches to the airbridge, seems stuck underneath the outer shell of the airbox. It pulls about 2 inches out but is being restricted. I understand that once I get this part out, I can use a torx bit to get the outer shell out. But how do I get the "middle" piece out? It's still attached to my airbridge, which is freed from the MAF. I just need to get it out. How is it attached?

Thanks!

Did you remove the 2 screws from the front crossmember? They are facing forward, and are torx bits, I can not recall which size. That is all i can help with. good luck

should just pull out. Check the wire to the MAF, disconnected or maybe the the rubber tube on the drivers side. I'd go look at mine for ya but it has a Blackwing. Sorry I wasn't more help.

OK, everything is removed... wires, hoses, etc. are removed. I'm wondering if maybe the clips that cinch the airbox together, are involved. I'm going to check that out.

Yup... got it! Apparently the bottom half of the clips, connect to the bottom of the airbox, which is why I couldn't pull it out. Thanks for the help!

Well... I'm a bit embarrassed that in the course of a Vararam install, the only thing I had to ask for help on was removing the airbox.

But everything else went well! Now I just have to wait four months for the test drive.
