Just realized yesterday when I drained my rear diff that the drain plugs use crush washers. I've heard that the use of them isn't necessary, and I've also heard that the replacement of them isn't necessary unless they are mangled.

Opinions?

You'll be good to go.. i never replace the crush washers.. They seal up real well...

The only time I do is on brake lines because they are subject to high pressures.

Used the old one on mine,,,so far so good!!

Sweet. I've got some magnetic drain plugs on the way from Chip @ CCA and was curious. He includes a new one for the oil drain.
